This is a message for Damon.
Should Tony have his script written about a love affair with Maria, I am very excited! - Because I hope it isn't written in the vein of his character.... (Excite us!) Let it not be planned by Tony, or we women shall be thinking, oh yes, easy done. Please let it be veeerry slow, perhaps something along the lines of smiles and unexpected feelings, because that's how real life happens. I think we all expect him to purposefully charm Maria into passion, and she has to accept. Lets see some real life scenarios, because that is absolutely thrilling !! I, and I know plenty of women, would love this. Maybe where he fights at being attracted to her - wow (Spell binding eh?) That's a proper love story. I havent seen one of those on corrie for a long, long time.... Worth considering - I'd be glued !
Thanks for reading.

I'm not sure about Tony and Maria getting together but hopefully the fab Corrie writers will do an excellent job so we stay with the characters.
I have been watching Coronation Street since the very first when Jack Warner stood at the door at the Rovers and invited us to visit with them. Over this last couple of years it has been disapointing that it has turned them all into drunks, layabouts, pervs, and a terrible story line. Many people are really sick of it. Please clean up the act, most people are good and you could show some happy families. Becky does not always have to be stupid, she is a good actress, give her a chance.
Is it not about time for the writers to realise that they have a duty of care to their viewers?
Times are hard and the Great is being lost from Great Britain but soap writers have the perfect vehicle to help rebuild community spirit, rebuild our faith in human nature and give us all hope.
It is about time we had happy endings where the good get rewarded and the bad get punished.
Soap writers could teach our younger generation the right from the wrong.
I have 8 grandchildren, 2 of which have to deal with Parental Alienation from their father, this is a horrible form of abuse, which I think needs bringing to the attention of people and think it would make for a good story line, to help children and families deal with it, as not enough is done as the parent who alieniates, tends to be very clever at covering their steps.

How come the current story line by julie jones etc have the street up in arms about female strippers with the use of words like exploitation, when everytime there,s a hen night its ok for a male to take is clohes off ? its a sickening double standard.
Not that the writers actually read these blogs, but I have to say I am extremely disappointed with the story lines lately. Too many of the very best characters have left, and that means trouble for this show. It seems as though nearly everyone has slept with their neighbor, has been hospitalized, sent to prison, kidnapped, or gotten knocked up. Boring!
PLEASE could someone please buy Tina and Stella new earrings ...those hoops are too out of style and too large for their petite faces !!!!!
I have watched corrie for years and finally u have created a situ with Thai which is the same as me but what happens next cos as i know even the courts are not what u think despite evidence. I am the mother but came against a man just like her, devious and charming an on legal aid and every time you go to court you have diff judge, who knows nothing about your case cos they have'nt even read it. Would like to talk ??
I just left a comment and yet it not on ur blog and means no comment, does that mean ur blog is set up and u not interested in serious comments to your story lines ??? rather than the ear-ring comments and other stupid comments you get? another con by TV series? good job i dont like facebook / tweet.
While being a Corrie fan for years now I must say the storylines have become horrible. How many baby storylines do we need going at the same time?
As well you now have characters not acting as they normally would. The biggest example for Canadian's right now is Carla. The real Carla would have fired Sally on the spot for telling Rob of her meeting. The real Carla would NEVER just hand over 30% of the business to Rob either.
The list of non-believable story lines go on and on.
Please enough with everything babies and characters not being true to form.
Please please...it is high time you dumped the goofey GAIL !! Her storylines have been done over and over and over again. She cannot act either. UNLESS SOMEONE GIVES THESE STUPID WOMEN THE COMMON SENSE TO SEE WHAT THEY ARE LIKE.....SEND THEM TO EASTENDERS WHERE THEY BELONG. THEIR CONSTANT NAGGING IS ENOUGH TO MAKE THE QUEEN CRAZY. GAIL - SALLY PLEASE...EASTENDERS ALWAYS NEEDS SOME NEW NAGGERS. You writers really need to make the characters see the light once and awhile. Like Gail....the LEWIS storyline....she did not learn one darn thing. Come one Writers....make her eat humble pie and be a tiny bit more understanding of people. She is darn lucky Kiley love David because he is another one to get RID OF. I have had it with the three of them !!!
I also am getting fed up with the stupid storylines the writers are throwing at us. What do they take us for. Agree with most of what Anonymous has said re Carla and Gail. What are you doing to Gail? First of all she's prancing around and wnispering in a little girl voice which turns my stomache, especially her kissing scenes with Lewis (yuk) finally on Sunday (Mar.10)she gets her self righteous voice back and just has to tell David the truth about Kylie's baby. Come on writers it is no wonder she now looks older thanAudrey her Mother on the show as she doesn't know if she's coming or going! Thankfully she wasn't voted best Mother. That would have been it for me. Where have all the good storytellers gone as it really is getting harder to follow the stupidity of the characters you now expect us to believe!
would love for corrie writers to write about childhood sexual abuse, maybe with the upcoming birth of kylies baby a story of her not being able to cope with motherhood and how frontline workers ie health visitor, midwives, social workers, fail to support kylie in her troubles and how her abilities to cope as a mother are all related to past experiences of abuse. this story line could provide informative advice for suvivors of childhood sexual abuse and to educate all generations and professionals
