But this one today about Phil Collinson leaving at the end of the year has given me a chuckle.
The Sunday Mirror says that Corrie producer Phil Collinson will be leaving Corrie earlier than he'd planned. Not only that, they say that Phil plans to blow up the Rovers Return as his parting shot and kill off some Corrie characters.
So let's see - who would you want to be killed off if there was such an explosion at Christmas? Leave your comments below...
Me? I think regular readers already know which Corrie character I'd like to go and never come back.

Sean! I have no idea how he has managed to last so long in the show. A walking cliché who is unbelievably regressive in terms of gay equality and happens to be portrayed by a person who cannot act bar a few exaggerated lip-biting expressions. Get rid of him! He's not popular in the slightest!
Would that there were some way Stella and Mary suddenly develop a friendship and go down together; Tracy, bunking off next door, alone or with Dev, gets a falling brick to head. Somebody will hero up to rescue Betty's photo; for that I nominate Kirk, but Fireman Paul dies saving him.

Kirsty! But can sweet Tyrone go through another tragic loss of a spouse to an accident? Tracy, Tracy, Tracy - she is predictable and boring. Then Dreary, oops, Deirdre could be less one-dimentional with blindly excusing/protecting her spawn and she and Ken can become interesting again. Stella, Karl and Sunita.
Stella, of course, Karl (whose character has been ruined) Tracy, Sean and all the Alahans. And yes, as Anonymous said, bring Angela Harris back! Kathryn Hunt was one of the best actresses to appear on Corrie in recent years. Doubt it will happen though:(

Definitely the Alahans - surely by now in reality the corner shop would have been bought out by a large chain and would be a Freshco extra/metro or something?? There'd be jobs for the locals other than the pub and factory then! And Sean has to go - get in a nice straight-acting, well acted gay couple in the flats.... I thought maybe this is what Dr Carter was being set up for when he started....leave the camp to the ladies, who do it so much better....

After the mess Collinson has made of the Street the best thing that could happen is that the Street is totally destroyed with no survivors just a big hole in the ground and the end credits roll.
don;t believe anything you read in the sunday papers. phil collinson did an exclusive interview with digital spy which you can read below. he said "there are no plans to blow up the rovers or anything like that"

Tracy should go back to jail on a technicality. Tracy has no remorse for what she has done or who she hurts. Too unbelievable that someone like Tracy exists in real life. Noticed the majority mention Tracy to be deleted from the show!
Agreed with the person who made the comment about Sean being a walking cliche; he needs to go, his character is a token at best.
I agree Sean needs to go! He's so irritating to me. He is a whiny jealous git. Marcus is better off without him.
