Mary, Mary, Mary! The mother-in-law from hell.

Not having seen how tipsy Angie might be, hard to say whether Mary over-reacted. However, this story follows hard on the tails of Faye calling the police, without double-checking with Seb, to report her mother. Most people would dither about a bit before ringing 999, not Corrie residents who do it at the drop of a hat. Bizarrely, the emergency services and social services are there in a trice. Now that counts as comedy.

I'm in Canada so not sure if this is explained by some sort of inheritance/insurance money from Katy's death, but how can Chesney afford to ask Kirk and Beth to move out? Wouldn't he need their rent money to help make ends meet, considering he's not really working and Sinead hasn't found a job yet?
