Corrie Weekly Awards for Sept. 3 - 8

Passport fail: Can you actually just take a photo of someone randomly for an official passport photo? And why on earth would Phelan have printed them off like that? The face was *huge* compared to passport size that is used. It's ridiculous!

Favourite Couple Ever: Tim and Sally. Not just because he backed down and supported her campaign, either. They're just so good together.

Frenemy award: Yep, Summer and Amy, probably not BFFs. And Summer instigates as much as Amy, I think. Could be fun to watch.

Harpy Award: Anna taking her dislike for Phelan out on Nicola was unnecessary and uncalled for.

Philosopher award: You got to hand it to Rosie, she's nothing if not eternally positive. "I am an eagle, not a bird in a cage!"

Off the Chart award: Forget Stockholm Syndrome, I think Andy's mind is breaking down and slipping away.

Rebel Rebel award: Nice to see there's still some of the old social fire in Toyah when she had a good old rant about social issues not being reported properly in the newspaper.

Invisible Man award: How on earth did Will manage to hide drugs in a busy restaurant kitchen?

Musical ambiance: "The Long and Winding road" with Phelan, Billy and Nicola talking about grief and making a future. "More than a Feeling" while the punters were talking about the new craft beer and all the hype the brewery was giving it.

Phantom Food award: This was the first ever mention that Rana and Zeedan actually use the food van she bought.

Lines of the week:
Kirk "D'you have to be an idiot or can anyone apply?" (I think you've got both covered, dear)
Phelan "Every day's special for someone" (especially if he's planning on it being your last day on earth)
Phelan to Andy "You need to die so I can live"
Gina "Poor Sally, stung by a bee"
Tracy to Steve "You are the sneakiest man in town but you're too stupid to recognize it"
Nicola about Phelan "We're alike in so many ways" (let's hope not!)
Rosie about Eva "She's a right Bridezilla that one. Although, I do want unicorns at my wedding" (eh?)
Phelan "You think it's easy keeping you in here? I'm tired of it. I want it to stop" (really? Andy thinks it's a day at the beach. Not.)
Steve about the beer "Craft is just real ale with more tattoos and fancier beards"

I have as much fun pointing out the non-stop stupidities, impossibilities, illogicalities and other nonsense as I do watching the acting (or in some cases, lack of it - Michelle's ex-fella is just the worst actor ever) these last 40 years. I'm the bloke who's forever pressing the pause button to say, for example "That CD in the Kabin has been there for years....where's the baby?...how did Andy ever go to the loo and how come he doesn't stink to high heaven...has anyone ever seen the cappuccino machine at Roys?....

It's all part of the entertainment

David Hughes 😂. Liz works in a medical centre and has broken patient confidentiality twice already and no one's bothered. Also, maybe I'm missing something, but would Andy not have a legitimate passport, as he was planning to join Steph?

Yeah he would have a passport, but where would it be? How would he get hold of it? Where would all his old stuff be?

I think when Phelan first attacked Andy he likely would have got rid of all of Andy's paperwork. Plus Andy could be tracked if he used his own passport.

Did Eileen not see that grave-shaped hole in the yard when she was at Phelan's house of horrors? I too wondered where Andy is going to the bathroom. Also I'm sorry but I'd be screaming my head off when Eileen was calling down the stairs. -_-

Andy has been captive for eight months. Two weeks ago, he was writing notes and stuffing them in mattresses (or somewhere). It suggests that he's been trying to escape ever since he got there. When did he become a sufferer of Stockholm Syndrome?
