It's time to meet another Coronation Street fan of the week.
Would you like to be our Corrie fan of the week?
Find out more here!
1. Who are you and where are you from?
My name is Laura Norton (@LauraN0rt0n - Twitter) and I’m from Runcorn.
2. How long have you been watching Corrie?
I’ve been watching Corrie for 16 years now, my friend got me hooked.
3. Who are your favourite female and male characters - and the reasons why?
Oooo, all of them! Female: 1. Sarah-Louise Platt, because she’s had so many interesting storylines. 2. Bethany Platt, she can be a bit naughty, she's funny and also caring of her family. 3. Leanne Battersby, she’s feisty, tough and a fighter. 4. Beth Sutherland, very amusing. Male characters: 1. Tim Metcalfe, friendly, a great dad to Faye now and funny. 2. Steve McDonald, he's hilarious. 3. Craig Tinker, genuinely nice with a big heart. 4. Roy Cropper, he's always there to give advise to anyone who needs it. 5. Kirk Sutherland, very lovable.
4. What's been some of your favourite Corrie storylines over the years?
Loads! The tram crash, Sarah-Louise's underage pregnancy, Todd’s gay story, Les and Cilla's 'wedding' - just hilarious, Toyah’s rape, Tracy/Roy/Hayley story, Steve and Karen's marriages, Linda/Mike/Mark love triangle, Richard 'Killman' Hillman, many, many Jack and Vera stories, Steve and Becky’s weddings, Callum Logan’s murder, and the current Leanne/Michelle/Steve/babies story... and much, much more.
5. And what would your fantasy Corrie storyline be?
I'd love to see Les, Cilla, Janice and Toyah Battersby come back, I think they’d stir things up quite a bit! It would be interesting to see how Toyah and Eva get along now that Leanne is close to Eva.
6. Have you any snippets or news about meeting any of the Corrie cast, or trips to the set, etc., that you'd like to share?
I went to the Corrie set when I was little and met William Roache (Ken), Johnny Briggs (Mike) and Barbara Knox (Rita). I also went to the tour last year.
