Thank you, Mr. Whalley, for many hours of pleasure!!

Although he wasn't a Corrie writer for quite as long as Adele Rose (who clocked up 37 years), his output of 596 scripts will probably never be beaten. He's also the last link on the writing team with the famed Bill Podmore era.

A well-deserved retirement.

Very happy retirement to you Mr. Whalley, you deserve it. Also the 40th Anniversary I think is one of the best Corrie episodes and appears to get overlooked or not getting the credit it deserves.

I was born two months before Corrie started in December 1960 and have missed only a handful of episodes from then 'til now. Always a thrill to see Peter Whalley's name in front of episodes, knowing we were in for a treat. My favourite Corrie writer of all. Thank you Peter.
