Sneak preview of tonight's double Corrie - Monday 17th October at 7.30 and 8.30

Monday 17th October 7:30pm
Eileen loses her job…and her armour? As Carla’s forced to lay Eileen off she accepts her fate but she’s not quite so accepting when Lloyd admits he can’t give her her old job back on the switch. Feeing down the only thought cheering Eileen is a night with Paul. But as she struggles to get hold of him on the phone it’s Marcus who tracks him down - in Freshcos with another woman!
Carla has to make some tough decisions. Left with only half her stock and half her machines Carla’s forced to lay off some of the staff. She lets newcomers Eileen and Becky go but also fires Sally, reasoning that she’s got her lottery money to fall back on. Livid Sally decides to speak to Frank about how the business is being run.
Sally puts her foot down over Kevin. Sophie’s annoyed to discover Sally spent the night with Jeff and asks her mum why she refuses to give Kevin a chance. Her hackles rising Sally won’t allow Sophie to dictate to her and tells Kevin he’s not welcome at the house anymore.
Elsewhere Tyrone tells Tommy and Tina he’s having Kirsty round for tea and he’d like them to make themselves scarce.

Monday 17th October 8:30pm
Eileen gives it all up to the wrong man. Marcus tells Sean he saw Paul with another woman but insists they don’t tell Eileen until they’re certain it is what it seems. Sean reluctantly agrees but as an unknowing Eileen asks Paul to stay the night, and he surreptitiously phones his wife claiming he’s got to work, it looks like it‘s exactly as it seems!
Frank makes Sally an offer she can’t resist. Anne tells Sally that Frank’s got a proposition for her and would like to meet. Sally’s charmed when he offers her the job of supervisor at his new factory and agrees to try and recruit some of the other girls. How will Carla react to Frank’s latest blow?
Kevin can’t hide his sadness from his girls. Kevin tells Sophie it’s best if he stops calling round at no.4 as Sally’s clearly moved on. Gutted Sophie asks Rosie why their mum’s happiness has to come at the expense of theirs and their dad’s.
Elsewhere when work forces Matt to cancel his date with Tina she heads home, interrupting Tyrone and Kirsty’s romantic meal. Felling sorry for Tina, Tyrone asks her to join them but will he regret it? Tyrone & Kirsty admit they’re smitten.

Typical Selfish Sophie: Why does my ex cancer sufferer mother's happiness have to come at the expense of MINE! Ug. This romance with Eileen and Paul seems to be moving very fast, she only met him last week!!

It's true, they sure didn't drag out the beginning of Paul and Eileen's relationship, wonder if that means they'll be in it for the long-term?
Sophie, well hopefully she isn't meant to represent today's youth, she isn't at all interesting, only to herself it would appear.

I really like Paul as a character, he was very appealing to me initially unlike some other recent additions! Would love to see Eileen happy so hoping whatever he's "hiding" is something they can overcome!

'bout time Eileen got some! Plus, he's pretty easy on the eye.
That Sally is really such a conniving cow..she sure can dish out but she can't take it. Wasn't she boinking Davenport for more money while she worked for him so Rosie could go to a better school?
I love Corrie!!

Frosty,

I do sometimes wonder if you've ever met any real teenagers?

Because if you had, the fact that a 16-year-old girl can sometimes be needy, self-centered and demanding maybe wouldn't be such a shock to you...
