Online petition launched for ITV to release Corrie archive

There was a flutter of press interest from the tabloids last week in a petition set up by Corrie fans online.

It was actually set up in December last year and so far, only has 21 supporters.

You just never know, it might be as successful as this one... er...

I'd be happy to even see just the first few years released. 1960-1961 is just over 100 episodes. Or upto the end of 1964 would bring it to just over 400.
I mean, it's not like they'd struggle to find missing episodes, as every episode has been preserved.

Funny they can't find a way to market it .... must be too costly dealing with the older formats?

Could be, Newly Pearl. It depends what format the old ones are. Could they possible be on VHS? Still, once they're transferred, reproductions can easily be made for sale.
