Brian Packham is returning to Coronation Street!
Actor Peter Gunn will reprise the role and we'll see Brian back on screen later this year.
We last saw Brian on screen in June of last year when he took Julie Carp on an around the world trip. I wonder if Julie will be returning too? Ooh, I do hope so!
A Corrie spokesperson has confirmed the return of Brian, and they say: "After splitting with Julie, Brian returns to our screens in November to become a confidante and support for friends Ken and Roy, who are both having a troubled time."
Actor Peter Gunn added: “I am delighted to be asked to come back and play Brian Packham again. I thoroughly enjoyed my time at Coronation Street and I am looking forward to seeing what Brian has been up to and what has brought him back to Weatherfield.”

Will it be a permanent return or just a fleeting visit? If the latter, I'd rather they didn't bother, it would be such a tease!
I'm looking forward to his return - I'm not sure if it would work as well with Julie returning also - he always seems to shine more when he is on his own. I think he would make a great friend for both Roy & Ken and maybe just bring some pleasant calm and sanity to the street. After all we are losing Michael so somebody needs to step up to the plate and Brian would fit the bill much better than anybody else on the street right now.
Anyone else think they'll pair him off with Gail?
