As part of ITV's 60th anniversary celebrations this year, there's a new box set of DVDs released - ITV at 60.
The press release for this new DVD set says it contains "previously unreleased episodes of Crossroads, Rainbow, Tiswas, Coronation Street, World in Action, The Bill and Whicker's World – together with some exceptionally rare items from the Associated Rediffusion archive: No Hiding Place, Mystery Bag, Crane and Our Man at St. Mark's"
The unreleased Corrie episode available in this new DVD box set is this one: Coronation Street: 18/05/1964.

Interesting...according to Corriepedia, there was a Corrie episode broadcast on that date (it was the episode immediately after the death of Martha Longhurst), so I wonder why they are saying it was unreleased?

They do mean that it hasn't been released on DVD before. It's episode 358 and does indeed deal with the aftermath of the death of Martha. It's a cracking episode too.
Yes, that must be what they mean. I know I have seen it though and at first couldn't work out how, if it's never been on DVD. Then I remembered the key scenes were included in the 'Ena, Minnie & Martha' Time-Life video some years back...
