Fab Photo Friday - April 18th 2014

It's Friday again so it's time for this week's fab Coronation Street photo. With the news this week that the big fella could be showing up on our screens again, this week's Fab Photo Friday slot is dedicated to Jim McDonald.

So excited about Jim coming back! One of my favourite characters and a real man. (Yes, I know he hit Liz once years ago, but there were extenuating circumstances at the time). Let's hope he will help Steve find his backbone again.

That second picture, is it old or new? New hopefully because I would like to see Andy back as well. Let's start getting some men on the street with some brain cells :-)

Obviously an old picture.

What moronic excuse are they going to come up with that has him out of prison for armed robbery in a couple of years?

It actually sounds as if they are going to be scenes of Jim in prison.
Although after reading the following blurb I'm still a bit confused as to where all his scenes will be shot.
A show source said: "Charlie was delighted to get the call to return to the soap. He still has lots of friends on the Street and will be back in June to film initially for around three months. If things go well he will be there until the end of the year and it could lead to more work. The character Jim is still very much in prison so the storyline won't see him back on the Street itself, but that could happen in years to come."
Charlie's on-screen persona is set to cause havoc when he returns to screens in July.

Confusing indeed. Maybe he gets out on good behaviour and re-offends?
Or he makes a break for it and is sheltered at the pub till they catch him again.
How could they have him in prison for three months with family visiting him, all of a sudden, after all the years.

Great pictures, but where's his Blue Jays sweatshirt?

He hasn't had that shirt for a long, long time, it was pretty raggedy then! However, it was the only 'nod' to Canada ( with millions of loyal C.S. fans) that I can remember, apart from a couple of characters visiting or living there.

My guess is whoever kills Tina ends up in prison with Jim. Ho hum! That's been done before- with Tracey- then she was freed on a technical.

Agree with Rosie which means Tina's killer is male. Rob or Peter?

Anonymous 20:40 - there was another nod to Canada when David Platt had a Canucks hockey sweater (jumper?) brought back for him after Gail's visit to Canada. Unfortunately, it was given to him by Richard Hillman, so it was never seen again. As a fan of both Corrie and the Canucks, I was very disappointed.

O.T -Anonymous 02:15, can't believe I missed David's Canucks shirt, huh.
It was great to see big Jim where that Blue Jays shirt for quite a few episodes. Since then we've seen countless visual and verbal references to the U.S. which I put down to CS trying to win a spot in the American market. They didn't have to please Canadians,as we were won over decades ago.

Did I hear that Ken is coming back from Canada with Adam!!! So is Adam Tina's killer?

Can't see the connection there, but hey why not? Everyone's guilty, until proven innocent!
