Deirdre Barlow's best bits

In advance of the Anne Kirkbride documentary, Deirdre and Me, to be screened on Tuesday November 13, the Radio Times have put together a list of Mrs Barlow's best bits.

Journalist David Brown at the Radio Times is a huge Coronation Street fan and he's put together the best of Deirdre Barlow for other fans to enjoy.  There's YouTubes of some of the funniest ones including when Deirdre got the cream pie in her face.

Oddly, there's no YouTube on the site of Deirdre in bed with Dev, but perhaps ITV feel that one's best forgotten?  I loved that storyline, me.

Have a look at the Radio Times article here.

Seeing that photo of Dreary and Dev in bed makes me cringe literally. I have no idea what the attraction on either side of that relationship would be, outside of Dreary having a man pay attention to her and give her false, drippy romantic gestures and Dev having a woman enamoured with his OTT drama.

Deirdrie and Dev. Best Christmas comedy moment ever. Fact! Can still hear her going 'Oooooh Dev'.

This article reminded me how gullible Diedre has always been. She was royally conned by that fake airline pilot when a normal person would have seen through it. I now get why she always believes Tracy. The woman is highly gullible.

Some of us can remember those far off days when Dierdre before she became dreary was the Northern man's crumpet - the totty of the Street. Now she is a rather rough chain smoking nagging old moaner.

I could watch Gail throwing that Manchester Tart in Deirdre's face again and again..."Oh Ken! Do something!"
