Well at least we can be proud of some good pictures!
Should we really be chuffed in getting sexiest female - NO.
When will we wake up and understand that for the past few years we have been getting walked all over by EastEnders etc etc.
Hopefully this will eventually be a wake-up call for the producers, storywriters etc to switch their attn back to what Corrie should be all about - classic acting with established actors!
Agree totally with the first poster - a very poor showing in the results.
These awards are institutionally skewed towards Eastenders and as such are really a total waste of time. The viewing figures consistently tell a different story.
I am sorry but that is not true Cobblestone. EastEnders consistently beats Coronation Street in the ratings. It also wins in awards like these and awards decided by "experts" like BAFTAs. I think there are 3 EastEnders episodes a week and there lies the explanation.
Wake Up Corrie! Aggghhh! It's so frustrating. Not the losing in the awards but the decline in the show. A show that's been a national institution for 50 years and nobody seems to be doing anything about it. The stories, acting and script are dire to what it was. Catch a few old episodes on u-tube. The dialogue and sharp acting carried episodes, with no need for big bang stories week in week out. Then compare with this weeks offerings and it will depress you!!!
