Who's your favourite Coronation Street man at the moment?

I started off by saying "male", as I think that's the term they use in the soap awards, but that sounds a bit 'orrible to me, so I'm saying "man".
I have a top three. They move around from one to three, two to one, and so forth, but basically it is a stable on-going three.
Not wishing to depress anyone in my top three by the way, but possibly best to bear in mind that I'm an "older woman", and thus I'm steering well clear of the Jason Grimshaws of this world except to advise them to wrap up warm, it's parky out.
Number one at the moment - and he is keeping me glued to the screen - is Peter Barlow. I especially like his scenes with Ken, and with Simon, and I thought he and Leanne made a lovely couple. (Leanne - what ARE you thinking?! Nick? puh-lease!) I'm also enjoying his scenes in the bookies with the frantic Stape at the moment. "I like your style, John." I love the glances he gives him! Last but not least, Peter can really work that casual "leaning against the bookies' smoking a fag then flicking it into the gutter" look. Wonderful.
Number two would be John Stape. Never mind that the Fishwick fiasco has dragged on for an eternity, I still find Graeme Hawley really entertaining to watch. John and Fiz are a terrific couple - or could be, if only there wasn't a dead Fishwick lurking under the factory floor. I keep hoping against hope that the Corrie powers that be will find a way to keep him in the show, instead of bumping him off.
Number three is Eddie Windass. Normally, he'd be either one or two, but as he's not in it much at the moment he's slipped in the ratings - only slightly mind. Eddie's one of the most entertaining Corrie characters ever, to my mind. I only wish he was in it more.
Bubbling under the top three are Owen (yes, I know he's got a horrible personality, but let's face it, he's got a brilliant gravelly voice), Ken Barlow (no, I've not got a "thing" for him, but I always enjoy watching him) and, to be honest, if he wasn't dead - Colin Fishwick. That 'tache!
Anyone else got any favourites just now, who keep them watching?

I think Graeme is my favourite; he's brilliant.

Peter - Hands down! Always and forever.

I still don' get the attraction to Graeme. Maybe he still needs to come into his character here (we are 10 months behind in Canada)? But right now I just find him a bit annoying. I'll give him some more time before I write him off completely!

I really like Peter Barlow and Eddie Windass. I also enjoy watching Roy and his reactions as he tries to make sense of what's going on around him. Steve is always enjoyable for me to watch as well, rubber faced as he is but he can really pull a great performance out too.

Yes, I also really like Roy and Steve. It's funny, you can start taking characters for granted when they're in it a lot (like Steve) even when they're really good. I also think Lloyd is really good.

Overall, I like every man on the cobbles now - expect for Kevin. My faves though are Ken, Peter, Steve, Norris, Graeme and David.

Although he is much too young for this woman of a certain age, I am loving David Platt of late. Whether he's jabbing his brother or palling around with Graeme, he's developed into a very interesting, intelligent and watchable character. Looking forward to his dealing with his disease.

Peter Barlow is the other man who pairs well with everyone, although I am not pleased with a street smart guy missing so many obvious clues (Carla, Nick & Leanne,...). Keep smoking, Peter, it's hot!

John Stape, oh would that the misery which is the Fishwick Scandal be gone. You were a brilliant, passionate teacher; please find some way to use your gifts. Write a book, tutor, anything to exercise that magnificent brain of yours.

Ken, Roy & Eddie, you're delightful, but you need more screen time. Owen, Nick, Dev, go find a cupboard. If you see Ted, send him to the Rovers ASAP.

Would love to see a poll for favorite Bromance: is it David & Graeme, Steve & Lloyd, Tyrone & Kevin, Ken & Ted,...

abbyk, I totally agree with you about Peter missing the clues - completely and disappointingly out of character. I also really like David Platt as a character, and agree we most definitely need Ted back. Ideally I'd want Grandad George back as well, but that one seems unlikely sadly. Oh, and evil Len Windass, but I fully accept I'm alone with that idea:((

Can't say I have a thing for any Corrie men- I'm a teenage boy!- but I agree Peter's a great character. Norris always makes me laugh with his (sometimes too) honest observations and Graham is a really good character. Hope none of those three die in the tram crash (just 7 days- can't wait!)

Never to young to start with the Corrie men applecobbler! To be honest, I've not got "things" for them either really, I'd never hang around (long) waiting for a glimpse of them, or rake through their bins or anything - they're just favourites. I agree with you re. Norris & Graham.

I wouldn't kick Gary Windass out of bed for farting

Oh dear now that's just lowering the tone!
