Campaign launched to Keep Gail in Jail

First we had the Free Gail from Jail t-shirts, then the Bring Back Hanging campaign. And now there's a website where they're campaigning to Keep Gail in Jail.

Have a look at it here, it's fun.

I don't know. So far it seems a bit mean spirited more than "all in fun" to me.

I think the problem is that this has not had quite the same reaction as with Deirdre's Free the Weatherfield One. This story has dragged on somewhat so we are all sick of Gail and she has behaved with such crass stupidity so its difficult to sympathise with the character. Plus the story was quite badly written in places so it sometimes bordered on the farcical.

Deirdre was genuinely hoodwinked, and had no idea what was going on. The problem with Gail is we've known for months that Joe's a waste of space and yet she persisted in sticking with him. So now you can't help feeling that she sort of deserves it...

Fear not, we now have a script writer working with us to create an alternative version of the story based on your input and his ideas. Comedy is assured - make sure you have you input by posting your ideas on the campaign website. Episode 1 is expected next week.
