As blogger Tvor says here, there's no denying that chemistry still exists between Liz and Jim and he's a huge hit with Coronation Street fans too.
I'd love to see Big Jim McDonald back on the cobbles for good, but what do you think?

He'd be more than welcome from this Corrie fan.
YAY!
NAY
Yay and nay!
YAY
Yay! Especially as it looked to me that Liz was the one with the longing, and Jim was the aloof one. Does Liz need more menopause support?
YAY!
Yay!
Definitely. He proved his worth on the cobbles again. Andy not so worthy of a permanent reprise :D
KG
Definitely, definitely! Get him back on the Street. The strongest male character since Len Fairclough.
Yay!!
I would say YAY, as I like Jim, as long as "Elizabeth" is not going to become all margarine legged again. If he stays let them be a happy couple.
I'd love to see Jim back. Andy's dull without much potential for a storyline.
Jim McDonald is surely one of the all-time great Coronation Street characters. Passionate, fierce, proud, and at times idiotic, Big Jim is quirky, often laid-back, and an easy man to like, though emphatically not one to cross.
From his characteristic Ulster speech patterns ("What about ye?" ) - as distinctive to Jim as Fred Elliott's "Ah seh!" - to his fierce devotion to his Elizabeth, he is just terrific. Liz seems to have realised that she's been parted from this rumbustious force of nature for perhaps too long.
Here's hoping he's back permanently, and right soon.
Without a doubt, yes. Unless Jim boes back to the "big hoose".
